How to Effectively Regulate Emotions and Mood

😌 Mindfulness

A quote by Bruce Lee that reads: "You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. If words control you, that means everyone else can control you."

However, mindfulness it is often misunderstood, or seems intangible. This framing may allow for the opening of a better understanding:

You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing everything with logic. If words control you, that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass.” – Bruce Lee

Be mindful of your internal knee-jerk feeling. Allow it to subside and pass completely, before deciding whether to act and which action is required.

Mindfulness is about being able to observe, and allowing what happens, happen. Letting go of any judgement or thought-patterns that may occur.

P.S: Take a moment to consider in what situation were you able to be mindful of your internal knee-jerk response today?
